Shira Nicole is a classy, sophisticated, fiery female filmmaker who enjoys excelling in an industry dominated by men. Already deemed as “little Oprah” by many, Shira Nicole relishes teaching, sparking joy, and positively influencing other’s lives.
Shira has been educating high school students since the young age of 20. She has not only been a teacher to her students, but also a mother, therapist, fitness coach, and relationship specialist for well over a decade. Shira has used her Bachelor’s degrees in English, speech communication and theater, and her Master’s in Education to enhance the lives of others, which has enhanced her own life.
Hailing from Gary, IN the hometown of the late Michael Jackson, Shira developed a love for acting and began gracing the stage at age 5. After years of toe-dipping in the entertainment ponds of both Chicago and Indiana, Shira took her plunge into Los Angeles’ oceans of opportunities and began establishing herself as an actress, filmmaker, and inspirational speaker. She is currently in preproduction as screenwriter, actress, and producer on a feature film.
In 2004, Shira founded Dramatic Impact Productions. With a host of short films under her belt, earning two merit awards, a director’s award, and a VIC producer’s award, Shira currently teaches filmmaking for LAUSD.
Shira brings her expertise of working with the next generation in the public school system along with her experience in the entertainment industry to the show “Trending Topics,” where she and co-host Anthony Smith bring their perspectives to the topics being discussed.
