Dr. LaSharnda Beckwith is an Empowerment Advocate, motivational speaker & leadership expert. She knows that in order for anyone to experience success in their personal or professional lives, there must be a fundamental change in attitude. One can not be or think negatively & expect positive results. In addition, she loves to interact where she can encourage, enable, empower and energize others.
Dr. LaSharnda is also an author and her new book, "When You're Happy With You." will be available this summer and it focuses on helping others find value, build self confidence and self-esteem and confront issues that may be holding them back. Dr. LaSharnda Beckwith established The Beckwith Group in 2005 as a result of her own professional expertise and skills gained in leading the Learning and Development function in government at the Vice President level. LaSharnda has trained, mentored and ministered to women most of her life and her desire is to see people of all generations empowered to become people who are totally and completely fulfilled in every aspect of their lives, enabling them to make a difference. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share and a desire to help others with their growth.

She is qualified in Myers-Briggs Indicator Type through The Center for Applications of Psychological Type (CAPT), Certified in Kirkpatrick's Assessments, and she holds two lifetime certifications through the Management Science Institute, a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies, Masters of Arts in Business Management and Masters of Business Administration. She holds a PhD in Organizational Management, specializing in Leadership.

1. Their Joy- Happy are the dead. Death is nor period, it’s a comma; there is much to follow.

3. Their Rewards – The rewards of those happy dead who die in the service of the Lord are two-fold: the rest from their labors and their deeds follow them. |

Be Happy

That fact is you are only as happy as you allow yourself to be. You could simply want to be happy but the fact is if you are not happy it is because you are not allowing yourself to be. There are many benefits to being happy as opposed to being sad or angry all the time. Materials things are nice to have, but they do not provide any of us with long term happiness. True happiness is grounded in God, family, friends, things that are personal to you that makes you happy---some activity like writing poetry.

Too much Self Doubt is Damaging
Everyone experiences self-doubt; even the most confident among us will experience it from time to time.vPeople in positions of power, influence and authority have the ability to curtail ambition and propagate fear so there is just enough doubt in us regarding our ability. First, Dr. Magruder defined the term contentment as accepting one’s uniqueness and cultivating one’s strengths. It is so important to acknowledge who we are and spend some time getting to know that person. Envy is the art of counting the other fellow’s blessings rather than our own, so in order to live a content life, one should work to overcome envy; that can be done by intentionally complimenting a person that you tend to envy and complimenting that person in person and when they are not around. Next it is important to stop and evaluate what it is that the other person has done that you can learn from. Envy impacts contentment. To live happy every day, one must learn to be grateful. |
