Born in Fresno, California and raised in Los Angeles, the youngest of 3 siblings. As a child Handsome began playing Soccer at Heaton Elementary. Excelled in all different sports at a young age but fell in love with computer science during her early high school years. Handsome is currently working on her degree in Computer Electronic Engineering at The Institution of Technology In Sylmar, where her goal Is to become an aviation technician. While attending ITT Handsome works for an Electronic company in Sylmar where she is gaining the experience she needs for her future.
When Handsome is not writing, working, or with her head in the books she likes to hang out with friends, “ I have an amazing group of friends, I get so much love and support from them. I’m extremely lucky, they’ve help shape the person I am today. I love to hang out, listen to good music, and take mental photos of great times.” During Her spare time she also writes and produces short films for Handsome & HandsomeBee Productions.
Not shy to questions about her sexuality, Handsome at the age of 5 discovered she was attracted to the same sex. “Growing up was hard and uncomfortable for me, it wasn’t till I came out summer of 2000. I finally begin to feel comfortable In my own skin.
Being a lesbian at 4 feet 10 inches I had to put up with a lot of criticism. People would judge me before even taking the time to shake my hand. Most people I’ve come across have completely changed there views and thoughts on lesbians. Once they’ve got to know me they realize, I’m just like everyone else.”
New to LA Talk Radio Handsome hopes to gain experience in different fields of her interest, while bringing a new vibe to the station; a place where heterosexuals and homosexuals can be part of the same team. “Just basically have fun with it, give people something to laugh about.” |
Weenobee has been an artist her entire life. She followed after her mother and painted for most of her childhood. In high school she discovered photography and has followed the art for over eight years. In recent months, music has begun to inspire her. Following the footsteps of her father, she has now composed, produced, and performed her first track.
Currently, she is working on a documentary doing still photography. She is the Director of Photography in a developing film. She is working as the director to a short film written by her future co-host Mr. Handsome.
The next exciting step for this young artist is the world of radio. As a young child she dreamed of one day hosting a radio show. Today, with the help of her friend Mr. Handsome, this goal will be met.
Weenobee’s agenda is to produce a show that calls out to the gay community. As a queer mujer, she wants to inform, teach, and connect people on the different levels of her group. Touching topics from gay art to gay lifestyles. |
