The Election was the big topic for the night-everywhere except at Broad Topics! We had a warm and fuzzy show talking about "How to make the world a better place" with our guest host Emily Janice Card.  Charitable vacations, the little ways to help, and fundraising for a boob job were all discussed.  And when the election results came in we all celebrated-except for Joan, who went into a state of McCain Mourning.

The ladies got propositioned!  California propositioned, that is.  Think a show about the propositions is boring?  Not this one, which turned out to be one of our funniest shows as the ladies found lots of humor in the people behind the props.  Mix that with real information and you won't want to miss this episode!

The ladies delved into the fall season of movies and TV. Controversial movies, reality shows and why we hate ourselves for loving them, and some of the best new shows of the year were all discussed on Broad Topics!

Mental Illness was the topic and the ladies covered everything from depression, schizophrenia, and anorexia to Laura's pregnant brain and Joan's revenge on the littering BMV dealer by her house.  Movies that deal with mental health issues and more, all on Broad Topics!

The ladies got in touch with their inner geeks as they discussed everything Musical Theatre.  What kind of musical thier lives would be, "Jerry Springer, the Opera", what happens when you mix pop music and  musicals, and the famous "My Butt" song by Joan.  Add that in with an interview with Tamara Bernier Evans from Broadway's Mamma Mia and you have one toe tappin' show!  Amazing music added by Norman Kelsey, check his cd out at normankelsey.com.

"Working" was the theme for this show as the ladies chatted about their worst jobs (including professional gambler and dancer in the Mexican Circus), equal pay in the workplace, and tips on how to manage office politics.  There was even a quiz taken that can tell you what your dream job is, and if you are a lesbian.  All on Broad Topics!

Our environmentally friendly show had the ladies seeing "green".  Tips on how to live green, drive green, and even wipe your butt green, plus an interview with George Wolfe, the man who is taking on the LA River, and a discussion on why the word "green" is overused.  All here on Broad Topics!

Broad Topics had a "Health and Fitness" special and nothing was off limits!  Crazy diets, gastric bypass, anorexia jealousy, and workout plans all were on the menu.  Top that off with an interview with personal trainer Mike Strickland and this show was a tasty treat!

Emily Deschanel, star of TV’s “Bones” sat in as a guest host while the ladies discussed St. Patricks Day antics, women in the congo, vegan philosophy,  and the most important question of all….big boobs vs. small boobs.

Noted actor John Rubenstein calls us from backstage at “Wicked”, in which he plays the Wizard, for an interview.  That spurns the conversation “Which world is better, Oz, Hogwarts, or the United States?”.  MPAA ratings are chatted about, branching into the Sex vs. Violence debate. 

Are actors and politics a good match or a really bad idea?  This episode exploded with phone calls, including all of our moms calling after we made Joan’s Catholic mom talk about masturbation.  To top it all off, we touched on the important topic of noxious substances.

In order to properly celebrate Valentine’s Day, the ladies crack open a bottle of Cabernet and toast their loves, present and past.  They also discuss the pressing topic of “Which Love Boat guy is your type?” and a spirited debate about the ethics of plastic surgery.
