Lisa Rodriguez, L.M.F.T. is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology and a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach. With 20 years of experience in education, Lisa’s knowledge is extensive. She has taken on many roles ranging from classroom teacher and counselor to school administrator. Lisa has created peer support group programs for both school and private environments.
Lisa is dynamic, personable, and has incredible talent working with people which is demonstrated by her success in private practice as well as in a traditional school environment. Lisa’s mantra for teens is “I’m a work in progress” and her approach has worked successfully for teens and families. Lisa is clearly an advocate for teens in crisis and in all other phases of life. Her commitment, effectiveness, and success in working with teens are undeniable. |

PATTY GARCIA WORD |

Patty Garcia Word is an experienced educator with more than 15 years in both high school and post-secondary education. Patty earned a master’s degree in Education at Stanford University with an emphasis on Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development. At Pomona College Patty received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Public Policy Analysis. She is also a Rockefeller Brothers Fund Fellow awarded to people of color entering the field of education. Patty’s experience includes school administrator, counselor, and classroom teacher.
Patty is a vibrant and intelligent individual who works well with others. Her knowledge and insight working with high school students, both on an academic and personal level exceeds the norm. Patty’s primary focus is on helping teens plan for their futures both on a personal and educational level.
Lisa and Patty have worked together for 8 years and have great chemistry and rapport with one another which results in an easy, caring, nurturing, and supportive dynamic. They are the perfect compliments to working with and responding to teens, parents and families.
