Mark Sutherland Bio: Mark has spent the last 30 years hosting major market & network radio shows in over 50 US markets, as well as England and Japan. He also directed and produced numerous network and cable TV shows, shot thousands of stills, conceived, founded and programed Static Beach Networks from a showcase studio in Hermosa Beach, and is now in post-production as Producer/Director of a feature documentary film. Mark has over twenty years of broadcast experience, hosting everything from modern rock to kids radio. Along the way he picked up Billboard magazine's "Top Modern Rock Radio Personality" award, and was tapped by The Walt Disney Corporation and ABC to be the marquis personality, “Just Plain Mark,” for their new and ambitious "Radio Disney," a nationally broadcast network for families… a risky undertaking which Mark helped develop into a viable and lucrative format by conceiving and hosting one of the most popular shows in the history of kid’s radio. Mark left radio for network television, then conceived and co-exec produced the original NBC pilot Be Careful What You Wish For. He also found time to produce and direct the wildly successful Save Disney Campaign for former Disney CEO, billionaire & Walt Disney’s nephew, Roy E. Disney. Following that, Mark island-hopped the Caribbean for Discovery Networks, Travel Channel, while writing, directing and producing Beach Week…Clearly a tough gig if there ever was one. In the nine years that followed, as founder/CEO of Static Beach Networks, Mark filled his days and nights perfecting and growing a privately owned, 21st century multi-media/radio network, which, at its peak, proudly boasted an audience of 4 million unique monthly visitors and 219 million ad impressions. Always busy with something, Mark also piloted Everywhere Sessions, an original TV series where talented artists perform original songs in unique places. He’s currently in post-production with a heartwarming feature doc film, staring his 16-year-old Whippet, Abby. Abby’s List, A Dogumentary, coming to Cable TV, DOD, and select theaters in 2022
