Wake Up Hollywood – August 15, 2023

Steve Rose is a nationally acclaimed music photographer having spent over 8 years in the industry photographing over a thousand shows in that time. Steve’s work has been featured on Rolling Stone, Guitar Player, Forbes, and the Smithsonian. Early on in his career, he was fortunate enough to be hired by Neal Schon and spent the next five plus years touring with Journey as one of their photographers and with Neal for his side projects. During his time on the road he has worked in a number of legendary locations like Madison Square Garden, The Forum, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and The Gorge to name a few.

When he is not on the road, Steve is the house photographer at a number of venues in and around Los Angeles like the Hollywood Palladium, FivePoint Amphitheatre, The Greek Theatre, The Riverside Municipal Auditorium, House of Blues Anaheim, and Shrine Auditorium. Aside from his work with local venues, he has also worked with notable acts such as: Slipknot, Alice in Chains, Korn, Deftones, Lamb of God, Primus, and My Chemical Romance.

In addition to his work with bands and venues, he has also developed strong relationships with a few music companies like Ernie Ball/Music Man, Fender, Gibson, Orange Amps, Yamaha, and Echopark Guitars. When he is not working, he enjoys being home with his family and playing guitar on the couch to whichever of his two cats are willing to stay for the show.

Throughout the years, Steve Rose has built a reputation of being a photographer known for delivering high-quality work and being timely and reliable. This consistency has afforded him many great opportunities and he always makes himself available to help out other photographers when he can with any questions they may have.
