Samantha and Melia Franks are a sister duo based out of Los Angeles. Having grown up in a musical family with both parents being musically inclined as well as being the granddaughters of the well-known Jazz singer, Michael Franks, the sisters started singing and building their musical partnership when they were just toddlers. Their influences range from artists like Stevie wonder to Sade, Tom Waits, Hozier, Sara Bareilles and more. The sisters began recording at ages 13 and 16 and have since branched out from singing covers at home to producing original pieces in established studios with an emphasis on lyricism and the full harmonic blend of both of the sisters’ voices. Currently, the sisters ages 18 and 21 are focusing on playing local gigs and releasing singles as well as working on their individual projects as separate artists. The two aspire to create connection and relatability for their listeners through their music.
