Reem Edan is an Iraqi-American comedian, writer and Sagittarius, who employs comedic storytelling to expose the reality of today’s Muslim millennials. Born half-Sunni/half-Shiite, raised Arab in a white community, and later moving to the Middle East just one week before 9/11, Reem quickly realized that she would always be a societal black sheep. This shaped the quirkily-conflicting perspectives she embodies on stage, with material covering everything from her cross-cultural upbringing, to diversity challenges, to the struggles of leading a semi-halal lifestyle. She has performed at festivals including: the 1001 Laughs Dearborn Festival and the Funny Women Fest; competitions like MoveOn’s Laughter Trumps Hate; and at comedy shows around Los Angeles & Europe.
