Born in Atlanta, raised in New Jersey, and based in Los Angeles, Brian Lawless writes and performs with a raw, unfiltered edge. His music draws from the space between country roots and rock n’ roll attitude, with gritty guitars, honest lyrics, and a voice that carries real weight.
Lawless did not follow a straight path into music. He built his sound in bars, clubs, and on the road, writing songs that reflect freedom, loss, heartbreak, and the moments in between. Inspired early on by the storytelling of Johnny Cash, the swagger of The Rolling Stones, and the working-class fire of Tom Petty, he carved out a style that feels both familiar and entirely his own.
In 2024, he released a string of singles including Dead Flowers, South of Heaven, Drugstore Cowboy, From the Road, and Lucky Few, which lead into his 2025 debut album, Moonshine. The record is the product of long nights, late drives, and the need to say something true.
Now in Los Angeles, he continues to record and perform independently, driven by the same core belief he started with: say something real and make it loud.
