Wake Up Hollywood – November 11, 2025

Hi, I’m Annika Bellamy.
For as long as I can remember, music has been the way I make sense of the world. To
me, it’s a universal language that connects all of us. My goal has always been simple: to
use my voice to connect with people, share stories, and hopefully, inspire a little joy.
I was born in Las Vegas and am now based in Southern California, and my own
background is a mix of different cultures—Dutch, Indonesian, and Spanish roots. I think
that global perspective finds its way into my music, but my deepest connection to my
craft is much closer to home.
Music is, quite literally, in my blood. My late uncle was Tony “T-Bone” Bellamy, the
incredible lead guitarist for the 1970s band Redbone. Growing up, their music wasn’t
just something on the radio; it was the soundtrack of my family and a constant source of
pride and inspiration. It’s a legacy that shaped who I am as an artist today.
Recently, that legacy came full circle in a way I could have only dreamed of. I had the
incredible honor of collaborating with a true legend, Pat Vegas of Redbone, to create
the first-ever official remake of their iconic song, “Come and Get Your Love.” For years,
Pat had respectfully declined offers to remake the song, but he joined me on this project
as a way to honor my uncle. To work with him, to learn from him, and to get his blessing
was one of the most profound experiences of my life. Together, we aimed to create
something that felt fresh and new, while staying true to the soulful spirit of the original.
While I’m proud to carry on a piece of my family’s history, I’m also passionate about
forging my own path as a songwriter and performer. Whether I’m on stage or in the
studio, my mission is always the same: to connect with you.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
