Show Description:

Our Heart-2-Heart Story
In 2005, the journey of our working relationship began when we first met in a work-related event. Very quickly, we both learned about our shared passions related to doing research focused on the understanding of one’s loving authentic true-self, sexuality, addiction, and trauma. Our passion for these issues began as a result of our own life experiences and stories. Each of us were raised in two different cultures, both Eastern and Western, and, of course, different family dynamics. Because of the powerful influence of these factors, we became alienated from what we now know is our loving authentic true-selves and suffered because of this. It led Dr. Jaffe to struggle with addictive behaviors, and Dr. Rashidian to struggle with perfectionism, for many years. The challenges we both engaged in, to overcome these influences, strongly informed our individual professional passions, to assist others to recognize, value, and appreciate their own loving authentic true-selves.
Since early on, our working relationship has been nothing short of incredible. Each of us brought in our individual insight and knowledge, and together, we created a unique dynamic which has helped us to grow both personally and professionally in the discovery of our own loving authentic true-selves. Together, we have been more innovative and creative than we could have been individually. Our good relationship has giving us more freedom, so that we can focus on creative opportunities to assist others, such as the Heart-2-Heart radio program. This program is dedicated to helping you feel free to be your loving self. Your loving-self is the main part of your authentic true-self, which comes complete, into the world, as open, curious, emotionally vulnerable, honest, confident, and trusting. Recognizing and understanding your authentic true-self is the gateway to the mesmerizing heart-to-heart communication that we all desire. We will be discussing what love and intimacy are, and what they are not. We invite you to phone in and ask your questions, which we will do our best to answer. We will not engage you in a therapy session in this program. Instead, we will try to answer in a way that benefits both you, and our audience. Your contribution is essential, and remember, that your question is likely to help countless others who are asking the same questions silently. We feel privileged to have been able to create an environment to help others, who are interested in the discovery of their own loving authentic true-selves.
