Documentarian  Janks Morton joins Rare Woman to talk about his latest work "Dear Daddy". Mr. Morton made a huge entrance into the spotlight when brought forth truth about the numbers of Black men in college versus prison. He has produced several books and documentaries that are considered socially provocative.

"Dear Daddy" takes a look at the issue of fatherless young adult women. He has the women write letters to their absent fathers and then read the letters aloud. As these women voice their feelings they give the viewer an opportunity to share in their perspectives. This is a powerful film. Mr. Janks has earned many awards for his work and this new release is yet another example of his way of opening a dialog about societies issues.

Mary Johnson, a woman in Minnesota whose son was suddenly, and violently killed learned to forgive the youth that caused her son to lose his life.
