The Friday Morning
Happy Hour
MIKE SAKELLARIDES |
|
 |
Mike Sakellarides is the well-known host with a smile in his voice who dominated daytime radio in Los Angeles for twenty-five years at KOST 103.5 FM, 'the Coast.'
But before that Mike was the popular voice of successive rock, pop, and country formats at 94 FM, KZLA.
And when he arrived in the City of Angels Mike started spinning urban, 'quiet storm,' and 'smooth jazz' at sister stations KGFJ and KUTE 102 FM.
Early in his career Mike rose to be an award-winning commercial and public affairs writer, director, and producer in Portland, Oregon and the Capital District of New York.
An actor in training Mike has now moved into commercial voice-over work as well as television (Boston Legal, Tim and Eric), movies like “Touched” (2009) on USA Network, an award-winning short “Charlie Thistle,” and danced in the music video “People” by Midnite Theory.
Today Mike is taking to 'online talk' at one of the most popular internet radio sites in the world according to Google.
And who could be better to join in this new adventure than Peter Dills? Peter is a long-time writer, radio, and TV host who has his finger on the pulse of the community and is among the most trusted names in restaurant reviews and lifestyle reporting in Southern California.
So listen Fridays at 11 AM PDT for Mike and Peter: two 'fun' guys taking names and treating listeners to lively guests, crazy calls, and gastronomical delights all from the L.A. perspective! |

PETER DILLS |
|
 |
Peter Dills admits to being born into a world of food. The son of legendary restaurant critic Elmer Dills, Peter moved to Pasadena in 1970 from the Crab Capital of the World… Baltimore Maryland. As far back as he can remember, he was following his father from restaurant to restaurant, tasting and discovering food. He then became the host of the radio show “The Spice of Life Report” with Stephanie Edwards, aka Lucky Market Lady.
Always a part of and supporter of the local restaurant community and host of several sanctioned chili cook-offs, Peter has developed not only a strong knowledge, but an extensive following. He has hosted the successful Chef Knows TV show on Charter Cable and has moved the show to over 6 million homes on Los Angeles TV Station KJLA. It airs on Saturday afternoons at 3PM. |
